Terms of Service

This is the most important section on the page.

• Survival Rise is for learning only. It is not professional advice of any kind.
• Nothing here is legal, medical, money, tax, insurance, building, or emergency advice. Talk to someone licensed where you live before you act.
• In a real emergency, call your local emergency number. Do not wait on an email.
• Laws are very different from place to place. That is true for guns, ammo, hunting, trapping, wild food, rain water, open fires, building, and farm animals. It is on you to know and follow the law where you are.
• This stuff can hurt you. Canning done wrong can make people very sick. Tools, fire, guns, ladders, cold, heat, water, chainsaws, and wiring all send people to the hospital every year. Get real training and wear the right safety gear.

Anything you choose to do based on what you read here is on you.

• The email is free right now. We may sell something later. If we do, we will say what it is and you can decide.
• Use a real email address that belongs to you. Do not sign up someone else without asking them.
• You can leave any time with the link at the bottom of any email.
• We can cancel or pause an account if someone is abusing the Service, committing fraud, or breaking these rules.

• Use the Service to break the law, or to plan harm to any person or property.
• Repost or sell our writing for money without asking us first.
• Scrape or bulk download the Service with bots.
• Try to break into our systems, or slow down or crash the Service.
• Lie about who you are, pretend to be someone else, or claim you work with us when you do not.
• Send viruses, or use our forms to spam people.

The words, layout, art, logos, and the Survival Rise name belong to us or the people we license them from. Copyright and trademark law protects all of it.

You can read, print, and share whole emails with people for free. You can quote a short bit if you say where it came from and link back. Anything more, just ask us first.

If you send us a story, tip, photo, or idea, you are giving us permission to print it in the email and on this site, and to edit it for length or clarity. We will use your name where it makes sense. Tell us if you want to stay anonymous or keep something off the record and we will respect that. Only send us things that are yours to share.

Our emails link to other companies, stores, and resources a lot. We do not run those sites. We are not responsible for what they say, what they sell, what they charge, or how they treat your info.

Some links pay us a small cut if you buy, at no extra cost to you. That never decides what we recommend. We say so in the email where it happens.

Our picks are our opinion on the day we wrote them. Products change and safety rules change. Always read the maker's current instructions before you use something.

The Service comes as is. We do not make any promises about it, spoken or written. As far as the law allows, we are not promising it will fit your situation, be accurate, or be right for any particular job.

We cannot promise the site will always be up, always work, always be secure, or that every word is complete and current.

As far as the law allows, Survival Rise and the people who own and write it are not on the hook for indirect or side effect damages. That covers lost money, lost data, lost property, or injury that comes out of using the Service. It applies no matter how the claim is framed, and even if we were warned it could happen.

Where the law says we must owe something, the most we will owe you in total is whatever you paid us in the past twelve months, or twenty five US dollars, whichever is more.

Some places do not allow these limits. If that is where you live, parts of this section may not apply to you.

If someone sues us because of how you used the Service, because you broke these rules, or because you broke the law or someone else's rights, you agree to cover our costs. That includes reasonable lawyer fees.

We can change, pause, or shut down any part of the Service whenever we need to. We can also update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. If you keep using the Service after a change, that counts as agreeing to it.

These terms follow the laws of the United States and the state where Survival Rise is run. If there is a dispute we cannot sort out, it goes to the courts there.

If a court throws out one part of these terms, the rest still stands. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and Survival Rise. If we let something slide once, that does not mean we give up the right to enforce it later.
